Privacy Policy
PC-maniak Cloud (“we”, “us”, or “the Service”) provides remote access, monitoring, camera streaming, printer management, and related tools for supported 3D printers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we process, why we process it, and the choices available to you.
1. Information we process
Depending on the features you use, we may process the following categories of information:
- Patreon account data: your Patreon user ID, display name, and membership or entitlement information needed to determine your PC-maniak Cloud plan. We do not need your Patreon password.
- Cloud account and session data: internal account identifiers, plan/role information, active-session information, authentication state, and usage counters needed to provide the Service.
- Printer and device data: printer/device identifiers, printer name, connection status, temperatures, print state, progress, layers, fan states, file names, thumbnails, and similar printer telemetry.
- G-code and print-related data: G-code files or portions of files may be transferred and temporarily cached on PC-maniak Cloud infrastructure when required for features such as the Live 3D viewer. Cache entries may be automatically removed according to storage and retention limits.
- Camera and snapshot data: live camera video and snapshots may be processed to provide remote viewing. Live video may travel directly between devices or through a relay service when a direct connection is not possible.
- Notification data: when you connect a notification service such as Telegram, PC-maniak Cloud stores the destination identifier needed to deliver alerts and your selected notification preferences. Printer alerts may include printer names, event details, and camera snapshots when that option is available.
- Technical data: IP address, browser/device information, timestamps, connection events, error logs, and security-related logs.
- Network quality analytics: coarse region/country derived from transient browser locale/time-zone context, round-trip time (RTT), direct-versus-relay camera route duration, and hourly aggregated connection-quality measurements may be recorded to plan Cloud/TURN capacity and node locations. The long-term network-quality history does not store GPS coordinates or raw IP addresses.
2. How we use information
- To authenticate users and connect them to their printers.
- To provide remote monitoring, camera viewing, printer controls, file access, Live 3D viewing, and related features.
- To determine Free or paid feature entitlements through Patreon.
- To maintain security, detect abuse, troubleshoot problems, improve reliability, and plan regional Cloud/TURN capacity based on aggregated network quality.
- To enforce technical and plan-based limits, such as active-printer slots, storage limits, or camera-viewer limits.
3. Patreon authentication
When you choose “Continue with Patreon”, authentication is handled through Patreon OAuth. PC-maniak Cloud receives only the information authorized for the integration and creates its own secure Cloud session. Patreon access tokens and credentials are not exposed to the browser. Patreon’s own processing of your data is governed by Patreon’s policies.
4. Camera streams and snapshots
Camera data is processed only to provide the camera and monitoring features you request. Depending on network conditions, the stream may use a direct connection or a relay/TURN service. PC-maniak Cloud does not sell camera data or use printer camera feeds for advertising.
5. Notifications and third-party delivery
If you connect Telegram or another external notification channel, alert content is transmitted through that provider so the message can be delivered to you. This may include printer status, AI Guard alerts, file names, and camera snapshots associated with the event. Telegram's own processing of that data is governed by Telegram's terms and privacy practices. You can disconnect Telegram or disable individual notification events at any time in your account settings.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by infrastructure providers that are necessary to operate the Service, such as hosting, networking, and relay services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the security of the Service, or to prevent abuse.
7. Data retention
Account and pairing information is retained for as long as necessary to provide the Service or until it is removed. Temporary files and caches, including G-code cache entries and technical logs, may be deleted automatically according to storage, security, and maintenance policies. Authentication sessions expire or may be revoked. Aggregated network-quality history is normally retained for up to 730 days. Raw IP addresses, GPS coordinates, city names, and city-level time-zone identifiers are not retained in this analytics history.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections where supported, server-side authentication controls, and restricted access to sensitive credentials. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection regarding personal data associated with your account. You may also disconnect printers and stop using the Service at any time.
10. Children
PC-maniak Cloud is not intended for children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information to the Service, please contact us so the information can be reviewed and, where appropriate, removed.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be changed when a material revision is published.
12. Contact
For privacy-related requests, contact PC-maniak through the official Patreon page associated with the PC-maniak project or through the contact method published with PC-maniak Cloud.
