Terms of Service

1. The Service

PC-maniak Cloud provides remote monitoring, printer management, camera streaming, file-related tools, Live 3D viewing, and other features for supported 3D printers. Features may change as the project develops.

2. Accounts and authentication

You are responsible for maintaining control of the devices and accounts you use to access PC-maniak Cloud. Patreon may be used for sign-in and to determine feature entitlements. You may not impersonate another person or attempt to obtain privileges assigned to another account.

3. Printer pairing and active-printer slots

You may be able to pair multiple printers with your account. A plan may limit the number of printers that can be active in PC-maniak Cloud at the same time. Printers that exceed the active-printer limit may remain paired but inactive. Activating one printer may require deactivating another.

Changing the Cloud active/inactive state does not itself stop a print already running locally on the printer. However, monitoring, remote controls, file access, camera access, and other Cloud features may be unavailable while a printer is inactive.

4. Free and paid features

Some features or limits may depend on your Patreon membership or another plan assigned by PC-maniak Cloud. Paid benefits are based on the current entitlement information available to the Service. Plans, limits, and features may change over time.

Payments and membership billing handled by Patreon are subject to Patreon’s own terms, billing rules, cancellation policies, and refund processes.

5. Remote printer control and safety

3D printers contain heaters, motors, moving parts, and other components capable of causing damage or injury if operated incorrectly. Remote access does not remove your responsibility to operate your printer safely.

• You are responsible for the physical condition and safe configuration of your printer.
• You should not rely on PC-maniak Cloud as the only safety mechanism for unattended printing.
• You are responsible for verifying commands, files, temperatures, and printer behavior.
• You should maintain appropriate local safety protections and supervision where necessary.

6. Your files and content

You retain responsibility for G-code, images, printer files, names, and other content you send through the Service. You must have the right to use and transmit that content. You grant PC-maniak Cloud only the limited permission necessary to process, transmit, cache, or display the content for operation of the Service.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

• Attempt unauthorized access to another user’s printers, account, or data.
• Interfere with or overload the Service, its infrastructure, or connected devices.
• Bypass technical or plan limits through abuse, automation, or manipulation.
• Distribute malware or use the Service for unlawful activity.
• Probe, attack, or reverse-engineer security mechanisms except where explicitly authorized for legitimate testing of your own systems.

8. Notifications

Notifications are a convenience feature and must not be treated as a guaranteed safety system. Delivery can be delayed or fail because of internet connectivity, printer availability, Telegram or another third-party notification provider, mobile-device settings, or Cloud maintenance. Where an alert includes a camera snapshot, the image represents the frame available to the Service at that time and may not show every relevant condition.

9. Availability and changes

The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. Maintenance, network failures, printer-side software, third-party services, or internet connectivity may make features temporarily unavailable. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features when necessary for security, reliability, technical reasons, or project development.

10. Suspension and termination

Access may be limited or suspended if an account is used for abuse, unauthorized access, security attacks, or serious violations of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Where supported, you may unpair your printers and request deletion of account-related data.

11. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PC-maniak Cloud is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every printer, firmware version, network configuration, or use case.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PC-maniak is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from use of the Service, including loss of prints, materials, files, time, revenue, or damage caused by printer malfunction, misconfiguration, network failure, or remote commands.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

13. Intellectual property

PC-maniak Cloud, its branding, software, interface, and original project materials remain the property of their respective owner(s), except for third-party components that are distributed under their own licenses.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. The “Last updated” date will be changed when a revised version is published. Continued use of the Service after a revision becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by law.
